Functions
OxySpy® - Functions
.
The oxygen analyser OxySpy® is especially designed for technical diving. It is very reliable and convenient to use.
Calibration
The analyser can be calibrated with air or with pure oxygen. OxySpy® automatically recognizes which gas is used.
The oxygen sensor measures the partial oxygen pressure, which is then converted into the percentage of oxygen. Changes of the air pressure or temperature affect the readings. Therefore, repeated re-calibration of the OxySpy® is necessary. Having calibrated the oxygen sensor, the pO2 limit can be set. The OxySpy® needs the pO2 limit to calculate the maximum operating depth (MOD).
Sampling
For the purpose of sampling, the gas must freely flow through the tank valves. After testing at air and re-calibrating the OxySpy®, if necessary, gas must be fed through the analyser until a stationary reading is reached.
